DieTrac Technical Institute, Lewisporte, NL is now owned by Lewisporte Community College, Inc. It is under new management and most importantly it will be operated as a Non-Profit College.  A Board of governors has been put in place and will oversee the operation.

Along with this new beginning, the Marine Institute (MI), Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador , has a presence on the campus with the establishment of the very first  Regional Fisheries and Marine Centre.  This is the first centre of its kind in the province .  All parties involved in this new venture are hoping the presence of a prestigious organization like the  Marine Institute will assist in moving the new DieTrac organization forward. A number of programs are currently being looked at by the Marine Institute for the Campus, including Marine Diesel Mechanics and Bridge Watch.  These programs are scheduled to begin this coming April.
