Are the programs offered at DieTrac approved and accredited?
YES. All of the programs offered at DieTrac are approved and accredited by the Department of Advanced Education and Skills, Government of Newfoundland & Labrador. All trade colleges, public and private, undergo the same accreditation process as DieTrac Technical Institute.
Are the programs recognized outside of the province?
YES. All programs offered at DieTrac are recognized across Canada; however some provinces may favor the colleges within their provinces. Consequently, some provinces may not hire people from other provinces; this has nothing to do with the quality of the programs offered at DieTrac.
Are DieTrac's programs different from other college programs offered in Newfoundlamd & Labrador?
All colleges in Newfoundland & Labrador use the same Plan of Training issued by the Department of Advanced Education and Skills, Government of Newfoundland & Labrador.
What level of experience do the trade instructors have at DieTrac?
All of the trade instructors at DieTrac are Interprovincial Journeypersons (Red seal) in their trade and are approved as instructors by the Department of Advanced Education and Skills, Government of Newfoundland & Labrador. Many have completed university training in vocational Education. As well, our instructors have a tremendous wealth of experience, many having reached the top of their trade in the province. They are well qualified and student directed.
Why DieTrac?
DieTrac Technical Institute is NOT a self-study college. We have live instructors and well equipped shops for all programs. DieTrac also offers student small class sizes (maximum of 15 students per class) which means more one-on-one attention from instructors. We have live instructors and well equipped shops for all programs, some of our shops are undergoing major improvements.
